A Strange Mood

I have no idea what is going on, but I think I might just like it.

This past weekend, somehow I figured I could do it all. So maybe not ALL, but I tackled some projects that I have had no desire to do. AT ALL.

Example: I have two folders I keep in a corner in my kitchen. One is marked bills to be paid, and the other to be filed. Somehow both of these folder turned into to be filed along with about 4 more piles. I can't even tell you how many months they have been there, just piling up. The "I'll get to that later" spot that just carves it's own place to stay.

Saturday, I demolished those piles, sorted them and filed them. (I was secretly hoping that my green card would surface, but it wasn't to be.) Along with several other tasks I completed that day, it was an extremely successful/productive day - including a trip to Costco! On a Saturday! With 5 kids in tow!

It continued today. This new found feeling. Down in our basement we (the kids and I) sorted and cleaned up the toy/storage/housing the boxes of Relief Society table cloths room. Where is this strange mood coming from? The desire to have everything in complete order and placement? Honestly, the only way I can think of describing it is nesting. It's so weird. So weird, because I'm not pregnant. (Did you hear me? NOT PREGNANT!!) Could it be that after 8 years of being pregnant and nursing that I finally have energy? Who would have thought. . .

A Little Visit

If the Hunts are heading out of town, there's a pretty good chance you know where we're headed. We can't go very long without visiting Grammies and Grandpa over in Utah.
Here are some pictures from our trip last weekend:

The Easter Egg Hunt

Every year, Gma and Gpa have an Easter egg hunt in the their backyard. We were so glad they waited for us to come to do it.

Rylee with her loot.

Clay with "Garpa"
(and the neighborhood dog Chico. He is the fattest little chihuahua I have ever seen!)

Kaycee holding the most coveted egg - The Silver Egg
(it holds money, and she was the one who found it in her group.)

I picked up most of Lucy's eggs. She wasn't about to be grabbing them near all those maple bugs!

Olivia was a little under the weather this trip. Here she is watching the action with Aunt Micki up on the stone wall.

Back Yard Fun

All of the grand kids LOVE my parents back yard. Depending on the season, you can swing, slip and slide (we're talking HUGE down the hill), ride the tractor (lawn mower), roast hot dogs, have s'mores, go sledding and so much more! So much fun.

As soon as we get through the door of Grammies, Clay searches for Grandpa and asks to take the tractor out.
I couldn't resist this picture. Blake (Reecy's) and Clay - can you see the wheels in their heads turning? These cute boys, along with some other grandsons loaded up that trailer a couple times with wood (I think they worked even harder when they found out Grandma was going to pay them!) It was fun to watch them work so hard together.

As we were roasting our hotdogs and s'mores, the MG made it's debut this season. Everyone was in on riding around the back yard. . . I think the tractor may have some competition now..

Just chillin' in the back yard.

At Home Spa Action

Later that evening, my mom, Micki and Reecy got into some spa action (check out this handheld baby here!). I actually have some before and after pictures, but I certainly know better (now!) NOT to show any pictures that my sisters may think are unflattering. I'll just say that Micki totally knew how to ham up a before picture. It was AWESOME!

We had a great trip!

Tuesday

Tuesday we finally had some warmer weather so we spent a few hours at the park with our playgroup. We all enjoyed the sunshine... especially Olivia.
Thanks for the picture, Lorianne!

Later that evening we attended another one of Rylee's plays. In this years Spring Production Rylee was Strega Amelia in Strega Nona. We've really enjoyed watching Rylee perform over the years and this play was no exeception. She does a great job and we look forward to her future performances.
(It's so hard to get a good shot when there's so much movement AND we sit so far back..)

After Rylee's plays, Gma & Gpa Hunt take a family picture.
After SEVERAL shots, this what the best we could do.
The only one with everyone looking at the camera...well kinda..

Here are just some other random shots from this past week.

Rylee's new look - BOTH front teeth out!

And, sweet Olivia with Dad

(and yes... she's always in her jammies)

Sleepy Baby

I took this picture of Olivia a couple weeks ago. Poor thing, she certainly doesn't look very comfortable and I know she wasn't asleep for very long. But, long enough for me to grab my camera!

Don't you wish you could fall asleep anywhere?
