Just an Update

1. I had a dr. appt on Monday and for the first time (ever!) the word c-section came up. WHAT?! I'm 33 weeks now and apparently our baby girl has no desire of getting into position (head down). She's not necessarily breech, but transverse - sideways. She still has a few weeks to 'get ready' and I'm pretty confident she will, but by my next appt (2 weeks) if she hasn't moved yet, then the NP said we could start discussing external version (where the dr. tries to rotate the baby - sounds glamorous doesn't it..?). I guess it's not done so much anymore, but if so, needs to be done between 36-37 weeks. Anyways, the NP mentioned if the baby hadn't turned by 37 weeks, to plan on a c-section. Interesting. After how many kids, and c-section pops up now? No thanks. Even at 37 she'd still maybe have a few weeks...I'm sure it was just more letting me know that it's a possibility. But really, it is with every pregnancy right? I guess I've just had early turners so far.

2. Trying to sell the van. I'm ready for an upgrade and Ryan will most likely be in Phoenix this weekend where I have a cousin who is a dealer and can get us a smashing deal. The fun part has been getting the van ready. We spent about 4.5 hours just cleaning and detailing the inside (yeah, don't take goldfish, pretzels, fruit by the foot and gogurts on a road trip!). It looks lovely inside and out now, but we've also been repairing the driver side window - doesn't help when the wrong parts are ordered) and then changing out an intake manifold runner sensor - the reason for the engine light. Wish us luck!

3. Ryan and I celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday. YAY! I can't believe how fast time has gone by. We were sitting at dinner and discovered we've had significant events every, from BYU graduations, to buying homes to having our cute babies! Well, I guess I shouldn't say every year, we had a hard time coming up with something for 2005 - apparently it's one of the years we didn't have a baby! :) We've had so much fun together and look forward to another 80 years!

Summer Activities

It's been a pretty busy summer so far which is probably why it seems to be flying by. School will be starting before we know it! Here's just a bit of what we've been up to:

Rylee

Rylee first started out with an instructional soccer clinic, but found that it wasn't what she expected. She was hoping to play actual soccer games and be on a team, so she 'resigned'. Thus, bringing her to violin lessons. We have the most talented lady in our ward that actually came to us to see if she could teach Rylee. Just after 3 lessons, Rylee has caught on really quickly and loves to be able to make music. Must be a natural!

Clay

Clay was supposed to be on a Kindergarten/Gr. 1 lacrosse team, but due to the lack of interest, there weren't enough boys to form any sort of league or team for that matter. Clay was so disappointed. But fortunately, Ryan and another dad jumped in a saved the day! The 6 boys are doing more of an instructional session (7 weeks) now. The girls and I attended last night and it was honestly, the cutest thing I have ever seen. Clay gets ready about 3 hours before he leaves and is just so pumped when he gets there. ALL BOY! I just laughed when I saw how much smaller he is than the other boys - a good helmet's length, yet he's right in there playing his little heart out. He's not the fastest kid out there, (probably because the gear is still pretty huge on him) but he's in heaven. Isn't he adorable!

Kaycee

We had only signed up the older two for activities this summer, but were quick to sign KC up for a Creative Dance Class. It's children 3-5 years old and is actually only little girls, but she absolutely loves it! They bounce around and learn some techniques and then in each class they're given the opportunity to show what they've learned, or what dance technique they like the best. So cute! She is so proud every time she comes out of class with a sticker on her hand. Here she is showing us a plie. (I love the little leotard!)

Lucy

Lucy's summer responsibility is just being cute. She's so good to be toted around everywhere and hang out with me. Cute Lulu!


Ryan

Here's what Ryan has been working on the past two weeks. This is the most facial hair I've ever seen on him! Still so handsome!

Something New

No pictures with this post as I am sitting at my sister Patti's computer here in good ole Utah. Ryan has business in CA, then goes to Chicago this weekend for a wedding, then back here to SLC to drive back with us. Did Ryan fly out from SLC, you ask? He did not. Well, then how did you get over to Utah with 4 kids? By yourself?? YES Ma'am, and I am superwoman!! Okay not superwoman, but I did indeed drive out here by myself with 4 kids in almost record time (just over 7 hours including some congestion! Perhaps it's Ryan then who slows us down....jk handsome!) Anyways, this is the first time I have ever driven over here without Ryan and I must say, the kids were awesome! I didn't bring the dvd player- for fear of driving off the road while trying to get everything situtated - so the kids were so patient, listening to music, playing games and of course some fighting, but not too bad. So we made it, leaving right after 3 hours of church - I had to teach RS, but it worked out swimmingly. Ryan had packed all our food and distributed it among everyone so we were set.

Now we're almost all in heaven at Grandma's house where the kids have cousins, cousins and more cousins to play with. (I mention 'almost' because some sort of bug or food poisoning has hit 8 people now, putting a bit of a damper on some festivities. It appears to only last 24 hours, but we are certainly keeping our fingers crossed that all the Hunts will come away unscathed! We'll have to see..)
