We just had our 20 week ultrasound and the baby looks good. I have to go back in 6 weeks for another as this baby did not want to show it's face, and the tech didn't get a good view of one of the ventricles. As for the sex of the baby, let's just say that when my doctor walked into the room, she said "we need to figure some way for you to be able to recycle wedding dresses!" That's right, it's a GIRL! We were all so sure it was a boy, so it was quite the surprise to find girl parts. (Although, who is really surprised, we've had 4 girls already!!) We're very excited though!
We had all the kids with us during the ultrasound (no school today) and Clay kept expressing how much he wanted a brother (Really? Who can blame him!). The tech asked what he would do if it was another sister. Clay says "I'd scream right here in this office. No, I'd go to the roof and scream!" They kids were patient enough as the baby was measured and right near the end the tech looked at Clay and said "I think you're going to have another sister, it's a girl." Clay screams. "I told you I'd scream right here."
I hung back in the office for my appt with the dr while the kids went outside to play with Ryan. We're getting into the van and Clay starts to cry. "I'm never going to get a brother." Probably not bud, but I think you'll be okay. Right John? :)
