I was talking with Mom L. the other day and relaying a "more difficult" day I had had. Clay had bitten a DVD (usually something KC would do, in which he had blamed her the whole day for doing) and he had ruined the DVD. ARG! Then I had gone shopping and bought a box of individual yogurts which KC thought would be fun to bite almost half of them open! Looking back it probably shouldn't have been a big deal, but the day had already started off wrong. I should probably mention the personalities of our little people. Rylee (5) is a huge help. She thrives on praise, so therefore is very cautious in the things she decides to do. She has a good sense of right and wrong and would prefer to stay on the right side. However, Clay(4) and Kaycee(2.5) are more free-spirited and find some joy/adventure in doing things they know they probably shouldn't...hence the picture. This isn't the first time that Kaycee has done the whole "body art" thing, but Clay certainly jumped in. Kaycee has since been banned from all markers finding that her body isn't the only thing that she's colored. I hope I am not the only mother out there that feels like they need to be "talked off the ledge" some days! Luckily, little Lucy (almost 8 mos) can't talk back yet and is still just precious as can be. She's really starting to figure things out and is just at the cutest little age/stage right now. I love my kids, but there are some days that I wonder if I'll make it (or worse, if they'll make it!). :) Perhaps some of you could shed some light on how to get through these kinds of days.

Give yourself a timeout!!! :)
I know I have had days like that and it is all l can do from "jumping". That is when the "duties" exchange. When Dad is home Mom leaves the house for some down time!!! I don't really have any better advice. I am always wondering if my children will make it to their next birthdays :)
Oh Honey, isn't being a mother of young kids wonderful? I figure that when they get bigger, there will be different kinds of trouble-- and then you'll think back and wish they'd just color themselves with markers and eat all the yogurts. But it is funny how at the time it is so terrible, we all have days just like them!
Speaking as a Grandma they are all wonderful and I just think how darn cute they are . . . but I remember the days when I was a Mom. It was pretty exasperating. But you all lived and so did I. I'm happy to talk you down from the ledge anytime. Sometimes it just helpful to talk. You are a wonderful Mom (as are all the rest of you!) Dad says 'I wonder if Heavenly Father looks at us and says 'how cute'. He is probably more like a Grandpa than we think.' Wise words from Mindy and Patti too. Love all you guys.
I have tried to leave you two messages, but I can't remember my new google accout no. Anyways, it will get easier and they get big so fast. Keep in mind that you'll really only be this crazy for a few years and then they'll all be in school and you'll wonder what to do next. If that dosen't work crying all day seems to let out some steam. Then go take yourself out for a breather. Some time away always seems to help me put things back into perspective. Love you lots.
All right guys, time to post more pictures. I need to see how big Lucy is now and what the other kids are up to. We're all too far away from each other and this is such a good way for us to see what each family is doing, so you need to update with recent pictures! Keep us up on what you're doing-- congratulations with the new job by-the-way!
