Iron Girl 2009

Besides coming home to see Ryan (of course!), this was another reason we came home from Utah. The next morning was this:

I needed something to keep me running and this 5k was it. My 2nd race and it was a great one. I was able to run the WHOLE thing. I felt as pathetic as I looked running to the finish line (picture NOT included!). I wasn't sure if it was the cold - that was graciously shared with me from my children wearing me out or the fact that I had driven 8 hours to get home the day before. Either way, it didn't matter. I didn't stop! Infact, I beat my previous race time by 2.5 mins - about a quarter mile at 37:25!

I guess the nice thing about running so slow is that I can only get faster, right?

Thanks to Aaron and Angela for coming to cheer for me although Angela wasn't feeling well. We'll have to try it again next year, girl!
And, thanks for taking all the pictures for us too. You guys are awesome!
