Examples:
Today. Kaycee is out of Kindergarten at lunch time. Clay's class is out on the playground when I come. As I walk down to get Kaycee, I look for Clay and watch him run and slide into the pea gravel with some friends. I get Kaycee and start walking to the van watching Clay. He is still on the ground and I figure he probably crashed into someone. I waited for him to notice me and wave. As soon as he sees me he runs to me, starting to cry holding his ear.
"Clay, you were fine until you saw me, what's wrong."
"My ear hurts, there's a rock in it."
I remove the tiny pebble I can clearly see sitting in his ear. And, start looking around.
"It still hurts, there's a rock in there."
I twist and mangle his ear trying to get a better look into his waxy ear. I ask him to tilt his head just right so with the sun, I can get a good look into the ear canal.
Sure enough, there is another little pebble wedged just nicely in his ear. Hmmm, let's see here...
By now, one of the teacher's aids comes to me and asks if he's okay. We told her he has a rock in his ear and ask if the office has any tweezers. She walkie-talkies the front office and luckily they have tweezers - but they aren't allowed to use them on students.
"Can I use them and try and get this rock out?"
Sure enough I can use them. The teacher's aid asks Clay to show me to the office. But, before I can go to the office, I have to get Olivia and Lucy from the car. It wouldn't have been a problem if Olivia hadn't fallen asleep and I hadn't drug Lucy from the house without shoes on and still in her pj's. Oh well. I pull the stroller out and put Olivia in and carry Lucy, following Clay and Kaycee to the office.
As we come through the office, I pass a friend from church with two of her little ones - AND also a nurse. We get to the nurses station place and luckily a lady has tweezers skinny enough to attempt pebble removal. After sanitizing the untensil, and my friend helping me hold Clay's ear (and head!) just right, in one attempt, I stick the tweezers in and successfully retrieve the pebble!
By this time, Clay is happy and asking to go eat lunch. We say our good-byes and leave the way we came. Me, feeling pretty proud of myself.

The other day, Kaycee is laying beside me.
"Mom, you stink. Do you know you're supposed to shower?"

Lucy getting after Kaycee the other night in the kitchen:
"Kaycee, watch where I'm going"
It's fun being me.

Way to go Dr. Hunt! You have skills to be able to hold a baby and push a stroller.
Now I know why people say only have your kids party every few years. It is fun, but super exhausting. Shoot I felt like I had just ran a marathon after Blake's party. He had a great turn out and got some fun presents.
Love you guys!
Oh I've so had days like that. Although mine don't usually end as victorious as yours.
I'm still at the pebble. I can't believe one got stuck in Clay's ear from sliding on the ground! That's crazy!
(LOL @ the shower comment!!)
Haha! I can just hear those girls! You are quite the woman removing pebbles and hauling little ones all the while. Haha! Awesome!
Your life is certainly an adventurous one! Your kids are always saying the cutest things. Love it!
Totally guffawed at the shower comment! That's hilar. And, the pebble...the pebble. You are amazing. That's totally crazy. What we do without super moms?
Is this what I have to look forward to. Pebble in ear...maybe candy up the nose. I hope I handle things as well as you. Your kids are so dang cute.
It's so good you are writing it all down. You will miss those days soon enough and will forget they ever happened. Love you guys. We'll see you in 2 days!
